 Synopsis
After a horrific car accident, Anna (Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesn't believe she's dead, despite the funeral director's reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. R E S E N S I

Seumur hidup, Carl Fredricksen (Edward Asner) selalu memimpikan sebuah petualangan besar. Ia selalu ingin menjelajahi daerah-daerah baru dan pergi berkeliling dunia. Sayangnya hingga ia berusia 78 tahun, semua itu hanya sekedar impian saja dan tak pernah jadi kenyataan.

Setelah istrinya meninggal, Carl mendapat masalah baru. Rumahnya akan digusur dan ia terancam berakhir di panti jompo. Merasa tak ada lagi yang bisa menghalanginya melakukan petualangan seperti yang ia impikan, Carl pun bertekad membawa rumahnya pergi mengelilingi dunia. Untuk mencapai tujuannya, Carl mengikatkan ribuan balon ke rumahnya dan menjadikan seluruh rumahnya sebuah balon terbang.

Celakanya, ada satu yang tak ia perhitungkan sebelumnya. Tanpa ia sadari, ternyata Russell (Jordan Nagai), anak berusia delapan tahun yang punya rasa ingin tahu berlebihan, ternyata ikut terbawa dalam perjalanan. Akhirnya, mau tak mau Carl harus membawa pergi Russell juga dan berharap bahwa mereka tak akan terlibat masalah besar karena ulah Russell ini.

S I N O P S I S

Eddie Dugan (Richard Gere), Sal Procida (Ethan Hawke), dan Clarence Butler (Don Cheadle) adalah tiga orang polisi New York yang berdinas di 65th Precinct, Brooklyn. Ketiganya salin kenal karena mereka bekerja di tempat yang sama namun yang tak mereka sadari adalah kesamaan di antara ketiga orang ini akan mempertemukan mereka di tempat lain.

Masa dinas Eddie Dugan hanya tinggal satu minggu lagi. Setelah itu ia berencana menghabiskan masa pensiun dengan memancing di Connecticut. Di saat yang sama, Sal Procida punya masalah lain. Sampai di titik ini, Sal bersumpah tak akan ada yang bisa menghalanginya memberikan kehidupan yang lebih baik buat istri dan ketujuh anaknya.

Clarence Butler yang juga dikenal dengan nama Tango justru punya masalah lain. Terlalu lama bekerja dalam penyamaran membuat ia jauh lebih dekat pada Caz (Wesley Snipes), temannya selama di penjara, ketimbang pada sesama penegak hukum.

Suatu ketika, New York Police Departemen mencurigai adanya perdagangan narkotika di sebuah bisnis perumahan dan tanpa disadari Eddie, Sal, dan Clarence tiba-tiba terseret ke lokasi kejahatan yang sama. Hanya pilihan mereka sendiri yang membuat mereka bisa menjadi petugas terbaik di Brooklyn.

R E S E N S I

Kekuasaan Jenderal Garza (David Zayas) di sebuah negara di Amerika Selatan memang sangat kokoh. Dengan kekuatan militer yang ia miliki, Garza menindas warga negaranya sekaligus menentang kebijakan negara-negara lain yang ada di sekitarnya. Setelah kematian seorang sandera warga negara Amerika di tangan Garza, pemerintah Amerika tak punya pilihan lain selain membuat skenario untuk menggulingkan kekuasaan Garza.

Menurunkan pasukan langsung ke negeri itu jelas tak mungkin dan satu-satunya cara adalah menurunkan pasukan tak resmi untuk melakukan kudeta dan membebaskan rakyat di negeri itu dari penindasan yang sudah berjalan dua puluh tahun lebih itu. Masalahnya, pasukan ini harus benar-benar tangguh karena mereka tak akan mendapat bantuan apa pun dari pihak mana pun.

Harapan kini bergantung pada Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), sang pemimpin tim The Expendables. Bersama Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Tool (Mickey Rourke), Bao Thao (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) dan Toll Road (Randy Couture), Barney harus berhasil membunuh Garza dan menumbangkan rezim yang berkuasa.

Sayangnya misi ini bukanlah misi yang mudah. Selain tak akan mendapat bantuan apa pun dari pihak militer Amerika, ada agen CIA bernama Monroe (Eric Roberts) yang ternyata tak menghendaki runtuhnya kekuasaan Garza.

Ketika dunia dilanda wabah yang mengubah manusia menjadi mayat hidup (zombie) , hanya ada beberapa orang saja yang berhasil selamat. Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) dan Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) adalah dua di antara para survivor itu.

Columbus sebenarnya adalah seorang penakut sedangkan Tallahassee adalah seorang maniak yang sangat menikmati setiap detik dari pertempurannya melawan para zombie tersebut. Meski berbeda karakter namun kedua pembantai zombie ini kompak layaknya sepasukan tentara.

Ketika menjelajah setiap wilayah dalam usaha mencari lokasi yang aman untuk mereka tinggali ini, mereka bertemu dengan Wichita (Emma Stone) dan Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) yang ternyata punya cara unik untuk bertahan hidup dari serbuan para mayat hidup. Walaupun awalnya keempat manusia ini memiliki pandangan yang berbeda dan sama-sama tak mau mengalah namun akhirnya mereka tetap harus memilih antara bersatu melawan para zombie atau jadi sasaran empuk para zombie.

Mampukah mereka bertahan melawan para zombie?
